Jerry Whitsett

The thrill of taking a piece of white paper and by adding paint change it into an object of interest is a reward that drives me to paint. I feel, I can hear the sound of water or the rustle of leaves in a light breeze as the painting develops under my brush. I find inspiration and motivation by spending time in the woods, along streams, at the beach, in the mountains, winter and summer. The wonder of colors and shapes, the sounds and smells all have an effect on many of my paintings and each one has a little part of me.

Jerry is a native of the Rogue Valley and after many years of school, Navy, a career in Geology and investment he is painting in earnest.
