Christina Madden is a professional internationally collected abstract impressionist painter with a love for light and color that shows in her landscapes, floral, figurative work and abstracts paintings. She enjoys using color as a unique way of expressing a subject or abstract painting. Her hope is to draw the viewer into seeing everyday subjects in a new and exciting way. As she works with her primary colors, she creates her world using her imagination and remembered scenery from her travels. Much of her work has a wonderful emphasis on light that leads her viewers through her paintings.
Christina’s evolving style of abstract impressionism gives us a real-world subject with colors brought forward to enhance the viewer’s appreciation for the artist’s view of the ordinary world around us. Her subjects are not always representational. Meditations on light and color lead her to paint abstracts which allow viewers to complete her visions with their own imaginations.
Her work is shown in a number of galleries. Many of her paintings are held in private collections. She has taught art as well as private tutoring, and has taken workshops from many well know artists both overseas and in the states. She has also been called upon to give critiques and jury art shows.
