“When I paint I see beauty in things that are common. My goal is to put this on my canvas to share with others. I want the viewers of my work to experience a visual emotion, a connection where they can see and realize the beauty in the life that surrounds them.”

Connie has always enjoyed pencil, charcoal and stained glass work.  When she retired she enrolled in formal classes in Medford with Stefan Baumann. She fell in love with oil painting, inspired by the colors and illuminations that she could create with her brush.

Today, Connie draws her ideas from the places she has visited that have impressed her with their natural beauty.  Her life experiences are the foundation for many of the scenes she loves to paint today.

“I see beauty in things that are common.  My goal is to put this on my canvas to share with others.  I want the viewers of my work to experience a visual emotion, a connection where they can see and realize the beauty in life that surrounds them”.

I’m always a student, striving to improve my understanding and technique of light, shadows and color.  As my painting start to come alive, I begin to feel the warmth and beauty of nature which always brings a smile to my face.
