Painting scenes on refrigerator boxes, cake decorating and designing banners for soccer teams wasn’t exactly what Lori had in mind when she was studying art in college, although it was kind of in keeping with her early love of drawing comics.

As her children grew Lori’s art took on more adult and more commercial forms. Designing business cards, brochures, fliers and later websites and even book illustrations.

Today Lori is doing her art for herself with the hope that it will be enjoyed and appreciated by many. She approaches her paintings as one would a mosaic, or a puzzle… focusing on creating the individual shapes and colors that combine into interesting and beautiful images, images that evoke an “ahhh” from the viewer.

Her work comes from a love of pure color and balance of lights and darks, all carefully placed with an eye towards perfect harmony. She continues to study her art, taking as many classes and workshops as time permits and continuing to win awards in the many shows and galleries that show her works. She is also a member of the National Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society, Watercolor Society of Oregon and Southern Oregon Society of Artists.

Lori, your work is beautiful, just gorgeous. It’s time to get your work in the eyes of the people.”
