“Presenting Alexis Wilson” Paintings by Alexis Wilson

I am a seventeen year old senior at Phoenix High School with a passion for a wide range of arts. I am currently in my fourth year of the art program taught by Jessica Rollins, who has been my guide through a large range of mediums. Still being a young artist my art style is not yet firmly set within one medium and style. I do know that my major focus is nature and wildlife preservation for which I have always had love and admiration.
Art teaches me that mistakes are fixable and not everything must be perfect. Art also helps me with the practice of patience, which I have yet to master. Ultimately the process of creating art relaxes me and my focus is directed to it and I get to let go of my current worries. Seeing the progress I make also make me feel more accomplished and encourages to complete my pieces and begin even more.
