Did you know that the common pollinators:  birds, bats, bees, butterflies and moths pollinate over 75% of our flowering plants and 75% of our fruit and vegetable crops?  They are a key part of the web of life on this earth, yet their numbers are declining of late.  Pam has created a series of bird and other pollinator paintings that are colorful and highly textured and speak to the beauty of these pollinating animals and the plants they pollinate.

Come celebrate the role of pollinators in our lives at the opening reception on Friday, September 1 from 5-8 p.m.  In addition to Pam Haunschild’s paintings, pollination experts Dr. Gabriela Chavarria and “Bee Girl” Sarah Red-Laird will be on hand to answer your questions, and Bee Girl will be doing tastings of honey made from her local bees.
In addition, there will be music by Hannah Cooper, wine, and appetizers.

“The Birds and the Bees” watercolors by Pam Haunschild will be on display at Art & Soul Gallery for the month of September 2017
