“Why We Paint!”

At Art & Soul Gallery our annual New Year’s exhibit features one small work from each artist in the gallery, framed by the gallery’s new owner, Peter Stone.

This year the theme is, “Why we paint!”  As the new owner of the gallery, I’ve been curious to discover how each artist got started painting.  So a few months ago I started asking each of them this question, “Why do you paint?” or “What was your first inspiration?”  The variety of and beauty of the stories that emerged is quite impressive.

Stop by the gallery to see the original work each artist has created in response to my query and read their stories in their own words.  I promise you’ll be moved and inspired!
